A volunteer placement at "Los sueños de Alfred" offers you in a perfect manner to study Spanish in Quito and to go beyond your tourist activities in order to get a realistic view of Ecuadorian life.

Areas of work for volunteers

  • Volunteers can work in the morning and/or afternoon sessions
  • Assist the working staff in planning and implementing creative workshops
  • The courtyard gives space and offers facilities to play with the kids
  • Your knowledge is needed in teaching English or French
  • Help and be around during mealtimes
  • Teach the kids computer science
  • Take part in pedagogic learning methods developing the emocional
    intelligence of the children
  • Put forth your personal knowledge and experience in medical health care

    • Costs

    The foundation does not ask its volunteers for a financial contribution during the time serving there, e.g. no inscription fee!
    As a matter of course, the institution would be pleased to receive assistance in the manner of toys, writing materials, books, games, etc.
    Moreover, the volunteers are offered free lunch.

  • ...are willing to work with very small children
  • ...come in with a fair knowledge in Spanish
  • ...have a broad-minded appreciation in getting across education
  • ...bring in the willingness to show patience and to leave habitual traditions behind
